Assoon as i created a game, it popped up on my wifes local lan games list and connected straight away. my wife and I played successfully. i did save regularly because a different bug occasionally had my wife disconnect, but only a couple of times in the game that lasted about 2 hours. hope this helps Saragan

Ifpossible, try to disable UPnP on your router temporarily, then try to start and setup the game. On certain router models, UPnP on the router can cause LAN connectivity issues on Windows Vista and later. After playing, you can enable UPnP again. pointrelay.

Ithink HD has LAN without internet. I might be wrong. DE needing internet is for piracy/DRM reasons. It used to be very common in the "internet cafe" days for people to use a copy on multiple computers. You could try to do mobile hotspot to get internet temp and setup lan. I dont know if its as simple as i put it though.
