I like the image better out of the Sigma vs. the EF mkII. My copy of the EF mkII has a magenta shift (as many Canon lenses do) that in this case goes just a bit too far IMO. The Sigma rivals (though is bested by) the RF 24-70/2.8 IMO in terms of sharpness, contrast, color rendition, distortion, and flare resistance.
Greetings everyone! My 24-70 2.8L II USM lens no longer zooms. The zoom ring only moves from 35-70 mm and the lens itself is internally stuck at 50 mm (I can only shoot at 50 mm with this lens). The focus ring appears to be fine. Canon’s cost to repair this lens is $600 + tax and shipping.
